well the dhc goes to the garage tomorro 4 the welding it will b fun getting to the garage no mot no tax no nose cone no carpets no heater no gater or suround for the gear stick wonder how long it will take for the boys in blue to pull me over[:D] but i did take precaution of getting the welder whos doin the mot to come by the house an book me in the garage oh did i mention only 1 seat in it lol he gave me a quote of £500 for the welding told him to keep it a month wen works done he will giv me the mot my cunning ploy is to get him to fit my mgf seats in wile hes doin the work saves me the hassle [:D] wish me luck guys il need it[:)]

well shes all been welded now having mgf seats putting in her so not long now b4 shes gets her new boots (wheels n tyres )[:D] then puttin the jigsaw back together

when my car went in for its first lot of welding it was 4 years till it reappeared

It rides again..... and again wehey!!!!!!!

well i did say to the garage mechanic he could have it for a month but as it would happen he had very little work in the garage so him an his mate spent 2 days solid welding it which is cool but hey didnt think id have the bill so soon[B)]

oh well hes found more welding[:(!] under the rear wheel arch an now hes doin the brakes oh what joy still doesnt beat the mitsubishi charisma we hav needs a new air mass flow meter no probs i thought phoned up mitsubishi thinking its just a sensor regulator no problem they said that will be £680 ffs only wanted an air flow meter not the whole engine [B)]

Welcome to the modern car. The TR7 air flow meter is only about $135 Cdn. (87 GBP.) Cheap by comparison.

get the 7 back early next week then all the finishing works starts just like a jigsaw puzzle [:D] then start on the outer body all gd fun[:)]

well get the car back tomorro [:D] new seats fitted tho havent seen the car 4 a week so lets hope he did nice job fitting seats good news after £700 bill its got its mot [:D]

Most air flow meters for modern cars are available from good motor factors. Not genuine but usually good aftermarket parts. We use them all the time on the Skoda Octavias we work on, £65 much cheaper than from the main agent.
