Spider Registry

Postby MCNX BFF » 01 Dec 2009 03:43

Hi, Everyone!
If you own a Spidey--or know somebody that does-I thought I would forward this info on to you. John Manske in WI has put together a Spider registry.[:D] I seem to remember Jclay mentioning doing something similar a while back, then GSCReno had a similar idea. While we knowingly understand that there is no way to account for all of them I, for one, think it would be interesting to see just how many can be found and where they are located. Gotta love his enthusiasm for these little cars! [8D] Looks like it will cost a buck to sign up. www.TR7SpiderRegistry.com

Sent my info and a buck with the suggestion he put a link to a dedicated free picture hosting site like Photobucket showing picture of owners with car (like what jclay has shown) or something unique (not stock) about their Spider. I sent a picture of the seat covering (the only thing not stock) as an example. Let's see if he follows up.

Hello, Everyone[:)]

Let me introduce myself please. My name is John Manske and I live in Appleton WI. Yes it is cold here most of the year but we are located about 1/2 hour south of Green Bay home of the Packers at Lambeau Field for the football fans. Many of you have already ordered TR7 Spider Graphics from my other website www.TR7Spider.com and for that a big "THANK YOU" for your support of our little Spider heritage.

Now, am on to my third Spider a 9300 mile all original and thought it would be great to start to account for as many of our cars as possible. The site is located as in the previous post at www.TR7SpiderRegistry.com and is active as of this writting. Donations kindly accepted to defray the costs of bandwidth, hosting and software.

If you need any help with one of our cars just drop me an email at permission@TR7SpiderRegistry and a reply will be sent back to you.

Thank In Advance

I have a Spider, too, here on this island off the coast of Maine. 108,000 miles, a bitty ratty with faded pinstripes, Triumph laurel and rear decals - I love it.

I'll happily support your effort, John, and join other owners in celebrating this great model of the TR-7. I could never have afforded one when they were new, but they're the hidden gems of the TR world.

Let's see.

Those are not my seats, they are Jerry's. He had them made in Oklahoma from MODERN material. The man who made them has since come down with cancer.

I posted the photos of the materials and seats so you could take the photos to your upholster and have him duplicate the design. That is what I had intended to do before I sold my Spider.
