What colour would you paint these?

Postby busheytrader » 16 Nov 2009 13:11

I picked up these Maestro Turbo 15" wheels complete with Toyo T1-R tyres for a snip. (The guy was moving house and wanted rid) Guess what? They're the original white.

I've always fancied taking the 7V8 on a track day and thought these 15" lattice wheels and tyres would do the job, plus they're hub centric for our hubs. I'll keep the present 14" tyres for the road.

Now any suggestions for the colour? Keep them white to look different, satin black for some street cred or paint them silver to look like everyone else. I have seen them in dayglo orange!

white is very 80's as you say everyone has silver so I would go with matt black or the same colour as your car.

For your car, if it's the one in your picture (black or some dark colour), silver would be conventional. White would make it stand out as something different, an homage to the white spoker wheels of the Victory edition. For something different a gloss black (car colour) with a red stripe on outer rim. (Seen a pair of like that, very smart.) If your car had gold pinstripes, decals on gold say on a black or green car I would do the surfaces not facing out in light gold/darker cadmium colour with road facing surfaces in natural polished colour. I currently have a set like that (14") for Yellow TCT that are black with silver on surfaces facing road but likely will change colour of them.

Looks like you get caried away a bit to much here [:D]

As for the colour, as they are only for the track I wouldn't bother with the colour, as long as the coating is in good condition.
