Hi Paul. I'm doing a deep strip/rebuild on my 1977 FHC and have come up against a problem during my rebuild - in my naive stupidity of thinking I could remember where certain cables were connected from 2 1/2 years ago I now have a few "loose ends" (sorry for the awful pun [:o)]).

I was thinking that the wiring loom on your car should be the same as mine, as your FHC is also a 1977. As you have probably done a far better job of tagging your wires than I did, if I was to get some photos, might you consider advising me where or what the cables connect to? I'd really appreciate any help as I'm at a point where things are now being held up and I'm almost ready to go for launch.

Thanks for any help you could give me,

Mac

Mac, I can't remember if I did tag anything, I do remember taking photos of wiring behind the dash and where it was running, I know for a fact that I haven't tagged anything in the engine bay because I will probably use the loom from the V8, I have a brand new boxed wiring loom which I may modify once I see what modifications the V8 loom needs.

cheers, Paul

Dry run, parts just laid in place, bit of dressing up to do for accurate fit and a few small invisible repairs to do while I can get at them before the 'panels' go on, fire up the spot welder next week.

Still playing with the panels, sorting out the gaps, tried on the front wing, have a feeling I am trying to achieve a tightness of gap that the factory never did, anyway aiming for a nice even gap around the door. The wing has to come back off to replace the front inner tub.

cheers, Paul

Pitty about those door-shut-lines. You've just blown any chance you
may have had in concourse competitions. No body is ever going to
believe they were like that, when they left the factory.
