OK, what is the voltage of the standard coil for a 2lt with electronic ignition?

6Volt or 12Volt? Part numbers anyone?

It is 12v. According to Moss USA no longer available. I've not seen a source for them. I picked up a new one (NOS) off eBay a year ago. Don't see them often.

Hi Guys
Hi Clay
I just got a XR700 electronic unit and a Lucas Distributer 47DE4
it did not come with a coil.
Ted Schumacher tells me I need the standard or compatible coil and what ever else it is connected to the coil???????
The unit came out of a 1980 TR7 .

Are you referring to the factory fitted electronic ignition or the aftermarket ones?

Zekow, I have the XR700, the PS91 & nothing else. The distributor is a 36D8 with optical points.

Sorry, for some reason my brain read 2lt with fuel injection so my answer was based on the Delco distributor and Delco coil.
