Stolen TR4A

Postby Alec Pringle » 24 May 2009 11:36

Hi Folks,

I've copied this from the TR Register Forum, hoping that the Wedge fraternity can keep eyes open . . .

" Well those B-----Y thieves are about again when our NLG member David Hay parked his car in the public car park at Enfeild Pageant yesterday (Saturday) with two separate security devices he expected it to be there when he returned

So a warning to us all and an unfortunate reminder of the low lifes in this world who think they can just take what they want and leave others in misery

Please be on the lookout for a Valencia Blue TR4a (quite an unusual colour) MCH 723D and report to me so I can forward it on to our member

Thanks I know you will all try , as it could be anyone of us next time "

If anyone spots the car, or suspicious adverts or listings, I'd be really grateful if you could let me know. David would of course be even more pleased !!

Many thanks

Alec

I understand that this is the second 4 to go missing in the last three weeks - another was taken at the Battlesbridge show in Essex.

Sorry but I have no details on this car.

Cheers

Right on both counts, gentlemen, it's becoming a bit of a pattern isn't it ? Mind you, quite a few 7s have been stolen in the last couple of years too, presumably to break for parts. Ebay is wonderful, but it's also a quick and easy disposal route for the unscrupulous. Keep your eyes and ears open . . . .

There's been a chunk of dicussion about securing your TR on the Register Forum, which might be of interest

I think the moral to this thread is:- be vigilant this year at all the shows you attend.
