In NZ we have privatised the license plate business so you can get whatever you want at a price you can't afford. You can get em online from http://www.plates.co.nz/ where the right plate will lift that dull existence into the realms of high adventure. I'd love to get the plate but at $900 (GBP360) it is a long way down the wish list. I think even some things on the wife's list rank higher than a ponce plate.

I want to buy the plate:

AREAL1 or TRUTR8 (TR8 is already gone) for my TR8 when it gets on the road........

I did not realise they had gone up in price so much, $900! WOW!

That's for the Euro style plate. The basic plate is $600 but still a lot more than the $70 I paid for the GT6 plate I bought in 1991.

The 8 was registered in Victoria, when we bought it, with the magic
number TR 8.

Now the thing is registered in Qld, & no good number combinations
were available, so it now hase a totally nondescript mumber, which I
have been totally unable to remember.
