Chassis Dimensions

Does anyone have access to the chassis info for an AutoRobot jig?

My car finally made it onto the chassis puller today but the shop doesn't have the numbers & neither do the AutoRobot agents. Their plan is to do a left to right comparison which is better than throwing their hands up in defeat but the numbers would be better.

In trying to decifer the first image, I think the dimensions that they give as A, B, C, D, really should read A-A, B-B, C-C, D-D, or the length of the line between the same lettered points.

Maybe intuitive to some, but I had to scratch my head...

Thank you Paul. I've passed that onto the guys in the overalls who will know what to do with the measurements.

The value of this forum however remains immeasurable.

I went around to the workshop today to deliver the bonnet & an unbent bumper & was really happy to see the car on the jig. I spoke to the foreman about the cost to point out that I was concerned that it needed (obviously) to be affordable. His answer was that they would make it affordable which is exactly what you want to hear. I walked away feeling very reassured although ultimately none the wiser.

you have that exact manual on the jclay's website, download it and print out those pages, and take them to the guy that's doing your chassis , he will figure it out

Might this manual also have dimensions for the V8 front sub-frame? If so, any chance of scanning and posting?

Also, I just looked a jclay's web site and I can't find any manual there????

Thanks Marko & apologies to JClay for not consulting the oracle (ie JClay's web-site). You can lead a horse to water but if it doesn't know what water is for you are in for a long day & you may well end up with the horse accusing you of trying to drown it. [:D]

Here's the link to the manual http://homepage.mac.com/jclaythompson/. ... elding.pdf. It doesn't really have the specific info you are looking for M but it will tell you if the finished job has resulted in the correct alignment.

I have the same manual. Use it all the time and bought it when I got the car back in 1995. That's where I quoted ride hieght measurements from in another thread. My hat's off to Paul for figuring out how to post those pages.
