Paul, definately check those connectors in the engine bay, just
behind the lights.
When I put the 8 back on the road 14 days ago, after 9 months off,
at the painters, we spent some hours cleaning all the circuits, to
get the lights working.
It then spent 4 days at an engineers, as my state, [queensland]
demanded the car be re-complianced, [with all its mods] before they
would register it here. It was previously registered, & complianced
in Victoria.
I picked it up at night, & when I got home, the left light cycled up
& down, continuously when I turned it off. I reached into the engine
bay, & shook the handfull of wires behind the light. The cycling
stopped.
A couple of days later I turned the lights on & off, on the way to
town. The left light cycled up & down. I put the left wheels off the
bitumen, into the dirt, on the side of the road, at 100 Km/H, &
after a couple of bumps, the cycling stopped.
Obviously I still have a bad connection, somewhere up front there,
causing the problem. I will clean them all, again, when I get a
chance, & expect that to fix things. Cleaning these same connections
has brought light to the front of the 7, when its lights have risen,
but remained dark, previously on ocasions, before I had them
relayed, at the front of the engine bay.
