Does anyone remember the car that was set on fire by the betrayed wife? It was going to be restored, but the lack of time, money and sunroof have prevented this.
So i brought it.
Plan - weld a roof in and put my V8 in.
Has been dry stored at TD Fitchetts for about 20 years, so is a lot less rusty than my shell. Well it's mint actually. I had 6 advisorys on the MOT last year for welding on the chassis on mine.
Could be a different colour later aswell.
Should keep me busy for a while.

Wow! That looks fantastic condition (well apart from the small fire inside I guess!).

Will the Metal Guru help with filling in the roof or can you do that yourself? That will be a great car when done.

Thanks John.
Bigger engine. mmmmmm.
4.6, or long stroke crank to give 4.5.
Spoilt for choice i reckon.

Don't change the colour and don't modify it... it's too perfect to mess about with.

Well done on a great purchase. Can't wait to see it in the flesh... or the metal!

Looks very nice indeed. That fella must have done something really bad![;)] Nothing like starting with a nice solid body. Can't wait to see what you do with it. Nothing like a V8! [}:)]

That is a beautiful looking car.

I would go the subtle route tho myself - lose the sunroof for sure and fit a V8 if you must but otherwise keep it looking as it is, maybe with 14 or 15" minilites.

I will not be doing any drastic mods.
The person with the petrol can and the matches tried that route.
The complete interior was trashed, dashboard, heater, everything.
The roof paint was burnt, but that has been repaired.
It will look as standard as possible.

That will be a nice car. I am partial to FHCs without sunroofs but then I am biased[:)]

Congrats!

Hey I like the plan Chunk[:)]

With the interior gutted tho I'd fancy some leather in there - but that may just be a fetish[:D]
