First time TR7 owner

Postby NorCal ACR » 29 Aug 2008 18:25

Yesterday I purchased a 1980 TR7 Spider, fuel injected. It had been sitting outside for the past 2-3 years so it doesn't look so good - and it's not running. Surprisingly the decals are in great shape. The car is original to CA car with documentation going back to it's purchase. It's all there and it appears to be solid so I took the plunge.

Hey Rich

You should get in touch with Jim Tencate. He is looking for information on running 1975 TR7s and you have one of the few on the road. He was asking in this forum under "1975 TR7s" heading, undre the TR7 specifuc forum posts.

What did it sell for originally? Mine was sold in Stockton, May 1981 for $11,460.

Thanks for the support. No pictures yet. I only had enough time to unload the trailer before heading out for the weekend.

The car was purchased at Union Jack British Cars in Hayward in March 1981. The total bill was $12,943.67 ($11,995 plus tax and fees). The owner traded in his 1978 MGB with 38,600 miles for $4,300.

Is 'meat & 2 veg' appropriate rhyming slang for the TR7?
