Filberg House Car Show

[FI Spyder]

August 17th was Filberg Car Show in Comox by north island chapter of OECC. We had 23 cars go up, rained a little on the way but in the true British tradition we kept our tops down and continued on motoring. It stopped at the rest stop as you can see from the pics. It was sunny the rest of the day, about a 100 cars and bikes, my wife found a blackberry bush and picked my wash pail full of berries. The band was great (swing tunes, Frank Sinatra and the like) and we got a bottle of wine as we left for showing a car. About a 210 mile round trip for me.

Here on the west (wet) coast we get pretty much the same weather as Seattle/Portland. Things are dry and brown in summer and wet and green in winter. While we usually get a few weeks or months of hot weather (80+F) in summer and it can dip down to 25+ F in winter mostly its in the 70's F in summer and 38+ F in winter any varying much from those temps is considered an exception. Of course with the higher the altitude the cooler the temp so places like Whistler (2010 winter Olympics) get lots of snow.
