Bank Holiday

Postby Rust Restorer » 26 May 2008 13:36

Usual UK miserable Bank Holiday, rained here in Norfolk 2 days solid, being out and about a couple of times in the DHC, not another classic in sight anywhere!

This year the TRDC National will have a TR7/TR8/TR7 V8 day at Billing Aquadrome, Northampton on 6th July.
Please accept this as a sincere invitation from the TR Drivers Club to attend this event - All TR7/8/V8 owners from all clubs are invited.
No stuffy concours will be running, but there will still be trophies and spot prizes up for grabs. To make things even more interesting some very special sporting vehicles are attending making up a display of cars not to be missed.
Billing will charge a day rate of £10 to enter the park if you mention the TR Drivers Event.

I went to work yesterday evening in the TR. It was parked outside my shop. I saw some girl was leaning on it whilst her boyfriend took pictures. I told her to "get her kit off and get on the bonnet" but she declined and they left... later on I was stuck in traffic on my way home and a guy fell on his knees and started praying to it... probably not take it again this evening, too rough out there.

Sprayed a coat of clear coat on my recently fitted front spoiler and the Bl88dy thing developed a huge run [:(!] [V] That was yesterday, tried to polish out today but went through to paint so started again in that area [V] not the best bank holiday i have had, plus raining cats and dogs!!
Will be at the 'National' looking forward to meeting a lot of you guys [:D]
Cheers john

Taken about 18 months ago. Thats John Clancy's car behind, he came up to do some filming for Project Bullet. Think I took that pic but it might have been him... Got one somewhere that I like better of the yellow "Victory" outside the shop, I'll see if I can find that one.

Very nice Steve, I bet that turns a few heads when you take it to work.

It was so wet here in N Dorset today that there was water fountaining up out of the manhole covers in the main road! Apart from a trip to the DIY shop I stayed in & painted the bathroom[:(] SWAMBO was pleased though .....

Hi,
We use to stay at a caravan park on the way into Fleetwood when i was very young, it was near a big chemical plant [?] i think, will see if my mum can remember the name. Then we started to stay at a b+b across the road from the pier a street or 2 up towards the mount, in fact i saw my first TR7 there in about 78 the rest as they say is history!!!!
Good to see normal weather has returned [;)]
Cheers John.
