Carb mounts

Here’s where to discuss anything specific about your standard(ish) car or something that applies to the model in general.

It has been my intention for a long time now to fit a pair of the solid ones. Ever since my car went to a garage and came back with them split. One of the mechanics must of lent on them, which resulted in them splitting. I have a set of cable ties in the aftermarket rubber ones that I have on now, but these would be a far better longer solution.

That may well be true but some times they just split. On our California trip the other TR7's mounts split some time between our last stop at the ocean in Washington and our lay over stop that first day. It went from starting and running fine to being a little rough at lower rpm some time in that 98 Km. stretch. \|The road was a little rough in a few spots but not bad. The next morning it wouldn't start until we noticed the split mounts and zip tied it up were it worked for the rest of the 5,000 Km. trip. Just shows they can split just/while driving.

I was going to ask the same question Beans, would you make a couple more sets?
