TR7 Wipers

Postby gkcoleman » 26 Nov 2009 07:25

Can anyone help?
My wipers are not working. I have tried a new wiper stalk, checked fuse and all connections. What else might be the problem?
Any suggestions welcome.

The wiper motor is probably rooted! But first: Have you got 12volts + at the green wire going to the motor? Test the earth (black wire) by running an earth jumper cable. use a test light or volt meter to test the blue/lt green, black/lt green and red/lt green wires as you move the wiper switch through its various positions, if you get voltage showing on these wires then every thing up to the switch should be ok.

I see your in Ballarat, I used to work with an electrician at Kone Lifts who came from the Rat he had several TR-7s I can't remember his name but ask about, someone up there must know of him, he'd be a handy bloke for you to get to know. Other than that let me know if you happen to bring the car to Melbourne and I'll be happy to have a look for you.

Thanks for the tip. I'll check out the wiring. Was the sparkies name Brendan Smith, he has a few TR7's & lives near Gordon, I got a wiper switch from him.
