Agreed 100% there. Once the bugs were worked out these were cracking cars.

On my last trip to Le Mans all the local kids of 12 years and under crowded round my 7V8 (it's far from pristine) in the traffic jam at the circuit. Forget the classic Jags, Healeys and modern Astons, they thought the wedgie shape and V8 burble were "really cool engleeesh man". Most of them had never seen a 7 before.

Hey All, Back when the limerick ran[;)] I really liked the looks it got* and the ocassional "nice car" kind of comments.[8D][:D] What a feeling man and NOT something that your likly to get with much of the more "modern" stuff.[:(](they all look the same and pritty much have the same performance[:(]or lack thereof[}:)])

*Was driving around downtown one day and turned through an intersection. Got an interesed look from a guy driving a 25 or 30,000usd brand new sprots car.[:p](a new nissan me thinks[?]) He had this new wizz bang ride and yet, he was also giving my 30+ year old car a second look![:D](and a looong one at that[;)]) That was worth everything![^]

I wonder what it means when kids stop and ask me where they can buy one of those(my TR8 that is)and I have to tell them that it a 1980 car.Besides there are enough upgrades available now that you can take care of most of the problems.
