A bit more about standard front shocks

Here’s where to discuss anything specific about your standard(ish) car or something that applies to the model in general.

A bit more about standard front shocks

Postby TR Tony » 15 Feb 2014 12:08

Dave Dyer's post about his Record front inserts jogged my mind about some Monroe inserts I came across currently listed on Ebay.

There is a seller with Monroe MR848 listed at £70 each ([:0]). The car make/model is not specified but from what I can find out MR848 is the Monroe part number for the TR7 front insert, & interestingly the eBay seller list an alternative part number TKC1212 - this is the Triumph part number that was stamped on the original front inserts in my 81 FHC, even though I have not been able to find TKC1212 in any part book.

Monroe's own website lists the MR848 for a more reasonable £78 the pair with free postage (although out of stock).

Maybe of help to anyone who is looking for original specification front inserts?
