OK, Does anyone know what the fitting is that is mounted where the fuel pump used to be?

That looks like a regular blanking plate. The thing that "looks" like it's coming out of it actually looks like its in the foreground and appears to be the end of a brake pressure regulator of a different make.

Indeed looks like a (replica[?]) works Sprint [8D]
They used different top frontsuspension bearings/bushes including Escort ones ...

Hey Jclay, where did you pick that picture up from? I only wonder because it is a picture that I took at the TR Register National Meet in July 2006. No problems, just wondered where you found it! Or have you been peeking in my PC[:D]

The car is OOM 513R. The car was in immaculate condition when I saw it - it bore the names of Tony Pond & Fred Gallagher, so is it in fact an ex works car that has been restored?

Bert Smeets ex works V8 JJO 931W was also at the meet, & the two cars were parked together in a hall for a while, so I got some pictures of them both.

As far as I know OOM513R never was converted to a works V8 car so it might be genuine. Certainly looks right ...

I did a search for TR7 Pro cars and there it was. Don't remember where. If I didn't keep my wife's name written all over the house, I would remember who that red head is running my life.

TR Tony,

When I followed the photos link back, it does show that it came from your album, but that is not where I originally found it. Do you know anything about that yellow 7 in the background of the works car photo?

As I understand it, it is genuine, the only genuine 16v sprint white livery car works TR7 known. The yellow car in the background is the Lemans TR8 related Drag car.

OOM 513R, is the only surviving works car still using the 16 valve engine. It was never converted to V8 by the factory, it has been carefully restored over the last few years to its present concours condition. It lives in a carpeted garage surrounded by ex works Race/ Rally versions of the SD1 and 6R4.I saw the car before it was restored and it was well used. The yellow car is the TR8 turbo drag car, built by the previous owner of the ex Janspeed TR8 Le Mans car, using similar body panels. I am probably the only person to have had a ride in the passenger seat, its awesome.

Ah, mystery solved then Jclay. As I say not a problem, very happy to share my pics with the world!

As already stated, the yellow car is the drag racer built in the same style as the TR8 Le Mans car. Bert Smeets is now restoring the Le Mans car I believe - is he trying for Classic Le Mans next year?

The drag car belongs to Alec Pringle who lives just up the road from me. I heard it running at the TR Register meet, the noise was awesome. I bet a ride in the passenger seat was just as awesome, Chris[:)]
