Windscreen panel to hood seal mystery

Hi,

Does anyone know the correct part code for the rubber moulding/seal that seats on the rear edge of the top of the windscreen panel on the convertible (picture attached). It seems to be shown as ZKC1432 in the BL parts manual, but I don’t believe this is correct as I have a new old stock one which is clearly the finisher that fits internally at the top of the windscreen. Also, is it available as mine is showing it’s age.

Thanks Beans. The BL diagram is misleading in my view as it shows YKC3610 and YKC1432 in the wrong orientation. Any idea if YKC3610 is available anywhere or a substitute?

@ Rimmers NLA. You could try Robsport or Steve Wilcox (S&S)
Or visit your local rubber store. That's what I did for my DHC 11 years ago ...

Looks like you found something that does the job well. I have already trawled internet sites with no luck. Mine is serviceable but a little worn so it’s not a huge problem; just a cosmetic exercise.

Without actually seeing it myself, it looks like a standard pinchweld section, should be not be hard to find, indeed it's probably available in various colours

Might be worth trying suppliers like Woolies or Car Builder Solutions for a generic trim.

I took the old one to a local rubberstore and rummaged through their stock till I found a decent profile match.

Thanks all for your inputs. Beans is correct that this trim has a lip on one side, which when fitted sits on the upper surface of the panel. Presumably this affords more sealing/protection than a standard symmetrical edge moulding would provide. I haven’t seen anything similar on any of the numerous online suppliers’ websites. I don’t think I’ll be able to find anyone locally who actually has a shop as just about everyone in this line of business seems to trade exclusively online only these days. I’ll keep looking and post if I find anything suitable.

Here in Oz there are various standard profiles of pinchweld sections with rubber lips and hollow section rubber seals in different positions

I'd imagine that most of this stuff is imported, so it's probably available all over the world, it's probably a matter of finding a supplier that bothers to carry a good range.
