Can someone tell me which bolts fit in which holes?

Here’s where to discuss anything specific about your standard(ish) car or something that applies to the model in general.

Evening experts

I'm reassembling the front suspension. Could someone tell which bolts go in which holes?

Memory is a trifle vague now but I think its 3A (calliper), 1B (calliper & Steering Arm) and 2C (Steering Arm). I think you have a thick spacer washer missing which goes in 2C. No doubt someone will be along to correct me shortly!

Put everything in place, calliper, steering arm & strut, & I believe it becomes self explanatory. At least it was for me when I did it. Once things were in place it all became obvious.

If you put the longest bolt in the wrong place, it will lock up the disc. Before putting the wheel back on, check everything spins freely.

As mentioned there is a thick spacer missing. Where it all goes is self explanatory as you assemble, it will only go together one way. Personally, I'd get my sandblaster out first. :P

Thanks for all your replies.
There was no thick spacer washer just the three bolts and spring washers I'm assuming because the previous owner fitted upgraded calipers.

Hi Mike,

My Ford Capri / Granada callipers won't fit with the spacers, they have to be removed. I don't know about the other upgrades.
