Brake shoe adjuster kit advice

Hi.

Hoping someone can advise me about brake shoe adjuster kits.

I'm going through spares which I collected when I used to own a TR7. I'm currently looking at a brake shoe adjuster kit. The kit is meant to be for both sides of the vehicle and has been seperated into two bags. I've noticed that both bags have been labelled RH, which I'm concerned means I was provided with two right hand side adjusters, rather than a left and right. Photograph below of the contents of one of the two bags might help show what I have, the other bag contents are identical.

Can anyone advise whether left and right adjusters are interchangeable please?

The spring and the bigger part (with # 3134-850) are handed (the other side is #3134-851)
The locking taps are the same left and right though yours looks unfamiliar.

Bum, well that is a shame. Thanks for that information, very useful.

I can't see a lot of point in keeping these parts as I guess you'd want to fit brake adjusters as a matching pair.

Part numbers aside, surely the adjusters are just a mirror image of each other.

Why put different numbers on when they are the same?
They have a chamfered face, clearly visible in Roo's picture so they are not the same.

Also the spring for the locking tabs is different from those fitted to the TR7 (5-speed) axle.
So looks like the parts might be from another BL car.

Caused by the fact that over the years I have always ditched 4-speed axles and 'boxes as soon as possible :mrgreen:

This is the offside set of the adjusters on my 5 speed axle. It all looks the same as the "problem" set except for the small ratchet. Big one has the same AP part number 3134 850.
