Front Super pro poly bump stops

Here’s where to discuss anything specific about your standard(ish) car or something that applies to the model in general.

If so the pictures I used for my post have a bigger scale difference than I thought
But I will steer away from the originals nevertheless, as my experience with them is not very good!

I've fitted the same springs all round now and the front end no longer crashes against the comparatively short Triumphtune front bump stops.

The photo isn't the greatest quality but the length of the front stops can be seen against the old and new springs. With the new springs, even the worst of NW London's potholes and speed bumps fail to hit the stops.

I never saw the original bump stops, they'd disintegrated in 1988.

I just rebuilt my struts with KYB inserts 200lb S&S springs. The bump stops are the standard rubber ones but cut in half as directed by Steve Wilcox who supplied it all.

Well, not been able to login for some time now, not really sure why , but it worked today.

So an up date, changed the front coils to NOS (with the lesser number of coils) with poly
bump stops, not cut down and, well what a transformation, nice smooth bump free ride,
very pleased with the outcome. This was the third attempt taking the structs apart, but finally achieved
the ride it should have.

Now that I am back on line will post a few other topics i think.
