TR7 Heater Core with AC

Postby HDRider » 31 Dec 2016 17:44

Has anyone found a substitute for the stock Tr7 heater core in an AC equipped car?

The TWOA newsletter, Issue 25, December 2013 (Winter Edition) has an article titled "Rebuilding the AC / Heater unit... Brent takes us through a complete rebuild" by Brent Roth.

In this write-up he didn't replace either the heater or the cold matrix but he might have suggestions for substitutes.

I'm hoping that I find both matrices in serviceable condition when I get to this job. Each matrix looks unlike equiv parts from other cars I've seen.

As it has a rather "unique" configuration/location for the connecting hoses I doubt very much it

Does anyone have that same pic with the non AC matrices.
I have never delved into the dash in mine and have no idea what they look like
