EGR Valve - Variations

Postby rugbyref1 » 20 May 2016 08:57

The Friday teaser - Triumph TR7 EGR Valves ... yes, yes i know not fitted to UK cars ... but I have a member in the US that is restoring one.
There are 4 BL part numbers : TKC 307 (which is Aus and Canada) and TKC1670 (which I assume is Californian issue) ... there are also TKC3306 (USA 49 States manual gearbox) and TKC3523 (Japan and USA non-manual gearbox)
So, i'd like some nice clear photos of the 4 different types in situ and also the relevant pages from the schematic parts book.... and if anyone can cross reference the AC Delco part numbers then that would be excellent :)

...and here is what i'm talking about :

A respectable collection.

I have TKC3306 fitted to a US specification engine.
As it (together with the carburettors) was fitted to an engine with number CK....UC,
it is pretty safe to conclude someone ditched the FI somewhere in the past.
Also some bits were missing ...

The pics below are of an Australian delivered engine with EGR fitted, so probably TKC307. The curious thing is that this engine came from the dealer with single CD175 carb and the previous owner converted to twin carbs.
