So I started pulling the rear out of my car to take the gas tank out, and I noticed there was no tension on the emergency brake cable. Then I noticed there was no hold down pins in the backing plates. So I pulled the drum off. The only thing in there is the wheel cylinder and the lever that sticks through the backing plate. Literally all the hardware is missing. Moss and Victoria British only have the wheel cylinders, springs, and hold down pins. Does anyone know of a place I can find them?

Have they blanked off the fluid supply.

If not what is stopping the pistons popping out?

I think the fact that the wheel cylinders are seized is keeping them in there. Otherwise I have no idea.... I do have fluid going back there. I think the drums were seized so they removed everything to get it to roll

Good grief, why would anybody play with someones life like that?

Did you buy the car from a museum or somewhere like that?

The car was listed as a tr7 for parts and restoration so I guess its on me. But when you say a car is complete you really dont expect anything like that.

Is it an early car with a 4 speed or is it a five speed. The differentials are different. I have a brand new, never used set of rear brakes, on 3.63 differential which is what was used with the 4 speed gearbox. PM me if you are interested.
