Adaptor sleeve for tubular manifold

Here’s where to discuss anything specific about your standard(ish) car or something that applies to the model in general.

Adaptor sleeve for tubular manifold

Postby HAIDI22 » 24 Aug 2014 19:17

Hello,

does anyone know the diameter from the tubular manifold exhaust and the standard exhaust center box
There is an adaptor sleeve available at Rimmers, but this is for a standart front pipe to a sport exhaust system.
I cannot find anywhere the information about the diameter of the exhaust pipes
I measured my pipes, but I'm not sure, if I'm right
51mm for the tubular manifold pipe and 47mm for the center box
Which size do I need for the adaptor?

thanks for your help
Christian

If I may politely suggest, please take your car to a muffler shop. There are a couple of bends in the pipe needed that can be easily done by the shop in a matter of a few minutes. Trying to do it yourself without pipe bender will cost you too much sweat, back ache, and bloodied hands. The small amount of money spent will be well worth it.

I called at my local exhaust specialist and they allowed me to have a rummage in their scrap pile and we found some suitable sized pieces there. Cost NIL.
