You could try Robsport or S&S Prep. A friend had SS header/ muffler/tail pipe for S&S I think it was, fit rather well.

You have to decide Stainless or steel, ceramic coated or not. 4 into one give HP at higher end (racing), 4-2-1 gives HP in mid range (general highway driving). Tuned (each tube equal length). Some headers need one of the tubes indented to clear body work.

Does anybody out there have any experience of the headers John215 mentioned that TS Imported is offering for $199.
I paid $450 to have a set made 6 years ago here in Oz.
They seem like great value even considering freight and exchange rate.

The most common , real-life-honest-to-goodness hot rod header in the U.S. of A. is made by Pacesetter and comes with a really good gasket. Please visit their website for a photo and description. This is the one sold by all the usual suspects like V-B and the rest.

When the original factory manifold cracked, a Pacesetter header was easily installed on my 1976 TR7, by yours truly. I do suggest you have a muffler shop make the pipe connecting the muffler to the header flange. Bending that pipe around a fence post is not the easiest chore you will ever do.

TSI's header looks exactly like the Headman header I bought from Victoria British.

The headman header comes with a non heat resistant paint that will burn off. You have to either accept the rusty look or have it powder-coated or painted.

The Header I bought $199 from VB, had a mild fitment issue on the #4 tube. I've seen other people 'fix' this by bashing the header with a hammer to flatten out part of the tube. A better fix is to strongly bolt the header to something solid, heat up the tubing good and hot above and below the point of contact and then bend the tubing in the required direction (no kinking or flat spots this way).

The 4 into 1 is supposed to be better at high revs and the 4 into 2 into 1 is supposed to be better for mid-range.

I'm still confused on where to get one.
