thermostat with foot part number for a 1980 tr-7

I am looking for the part number and suppliers for the thermostat with the foot that has been mentioned by several posters. I reside in the US.

Dear friend, Rich. Without getting into a long winded dissertation, your engine will be better off with the 180 degree thermostat. I will be experimenting with the 195 degree thermostat shortly, but I'm not sure the cooling system will like it, we'll see.

As stated in other post it doesn't matter what degree your thermostat is, at operating temperature they will all be open as the operating temp will be above 195 for efficient operation. The only time it will matter is when it's -20 and you want engine heat to keep you toasty warm in which case you would want a 195 as that cold of air might prevent the engine from reaching proper operating temperature.

It's like ground hog day were if he sees his shadow we're in for another six weeks of winter, if he doesn't spring will come in six weeks. Few people realize those two things are exactly the same thing.
