The link end with the rubber/metal bush has been very tight on all my wedges, that's before you even fit the screw. The manual I have doesn't say much about it and one of my alloy brackets had cracked at the thin part of screw hole. So why is it that tight when fitted in the slot as it's obviously putting more strain on the motor? and, How tight should the screw be?

Hi Maxwell, thanks for the offer of a replacement bracket. I should have asked on here before, but I managed to locate one at Robsport. It was the alloy bracket that had cracked around the screw holding the link with the rubber bush, ref. pic above. I just don't want it to happen again so I'm trying to find out why it's such a tight fit and if it cracked because the screw was too tight or even too loose.
