Interior pictures wanted

Postby Graham.Fountain » 11 Dec 2013 12:35

Hi, Could anyone put up some more pictures of TR7 interiors with permission to put these on Wickipedia Commons: "I waive all rights to the work worldwide under copyright law, including all related and neighboring rights, to the extent allowed by law."

These are for use on the Triumph TR7 page. I've put one up of a tan plaid interior, but I don't like the steering wheel glove that's in shot. I can't find a picture of a velour interior, so if you've a nice one of those, that would be good.

If anyone has them, I'd also like contrasting shots of the early and late filler caps, preferably of a pre-1978 year model FHC and a DHC from the same angle, to show the reduced decking area on the DHC. A shot contrasting the round and "square" door locks might be going a bit far, but if there is one, I'll look at it. Same goes for a close-up of the later trip milo reset button.

If you can think of any other photos that might be useful, like the wheeltrims, etc., that's fine too.

Regards Graham Fountain.

Yes, they're fine for the broadcord and plaid, but can you add the waiver. I know it's a pain, but some of the wikinistas are a mite picky. Already got Tartan, so it's just the ruched velour I need for the interior.

Not sure if this is what you're after.

Oh, don't recognize that int. Which spec is it?

It's odd that there's so few photos of the interior looking back at the seats from the front quater. I've looked through my own photos, and I haven't been taking that shot either. Least interesting aspect of the car perhaps. There're a few on ebay, etc., where they're showing their state, but they aren't usable on wikipedia.

I am rebuilding the car and looking for a bright red carpetset. I ordered one from Rimmers and it was bordeaux-red. Does anyone know where I can find one?

Alternative is to find carpet in the right colour and use the Rimmers-set as a mould.

Just looking at all these pics prompts me to ask if there's a thread on which way around the door arm-rest/handles should go, thin end or thick end to the front?

Not sure of the spec, it was removed from a TR8 or TR7 V8 at a breakers yard about 13 years ago and I stored it until my restoration was completed last year.

Hi Moodyblue, Odd that, I had a set of seats from exactly the same source: TR8 in a breakers (nr Sutton-on-the-forest). Had them in A TR7 16V the second for several years, till I got rear-ended by a Discovery and the car was written off.

Pretty sure that is an interior we did some years ago.
