dhc fuel filler

After removing the fuel filler and drilling out the screws holding the plastic hat in the hole I was left wondering where the water drains out of.Judging from the crud in the well it hasn't been draining anywhere.Thanks in advance Steve..

Lower parts of the filler neck's mounting plate act as drain ...

It bolts to the underside of this flange ...

The drain holes easily get clogged with dirt/leaves/etc, so a regular clean with compressed air is highly recommended.
(make sure the dirt being blown out can't enter the tank ...)

Thanks for the info and photo.The neck was sealed up with what looked like silicon sealer and the crossheads were severely mutilated so it looks like the well was permanently wet but surprisingly very little corrosion.Steve..

Hi Beens do you have an new Hose - Fuel Filler Pipe ??

Wher do you get this (if it's new) rimmer does not have it ...

Or is it from Water Cooler somewhere :-)

Original hose and pipe, only cleaned it up a bit.
