The previous owner of my newly acquired DHC had a small accident with front near side bumper, cracked and broken, so he filled it with expanding foam, ltd shaping and painted it black.

Now this is not a priority for me yet, but would like to improve
this, are these corners ABS and if not what are they, plus anyone recommend something to repair and spray it with.

I see there are various products, just interested to see what has proved to be best.

I need to get the kids to assist in up loading some pics, will do shortly

Many thanks

I believe the original are plastic, aftermarket are fibreglass.

A good bodyshop maybe able to repair, or use second hand.

Most people don't notice a day/night difference although I'm sure there is some. While people try to lighten their car, it really doesn't make that much difference percentage wise to the total weight of the car so your not going to notice any difference in every day driving (except the imagined difference) so unless you are going to race your car were every oz. counts I wouldn't bother on that account.

They do put some weight on the rubber mounts helping them separate with time resulting in the DHC bumper droop. If you want to help reduce this effect then remove the weights and use the bumper removal to freshen up front end with rust preventative measures, POR-15 the metal bumper, wax oil the inside of it, replace rubber bumper retaining bolts, washers with SS, etc. If your rubber mounts have separated you can remove the weights and go to solid mounts/repair them.
