The new hose has a straight connector on one end and a 90 degree bend connector at the other. The original hose has a U shaped end pipe on one end and a slightly more than 90 degree bend at the other. The old one passed under the brake servo and laid directly against the firewall on its way down to the slave. The connectors on the new one make the hose go over the top of the brake servo, then isn't long enough to follow along the firewall. It has to take a route along the side of the engine near the fuel pump, to make a gentle enough bend for the fitting to go into the slave cylinder.
Am I missing something here? It seems like the hose should have at least a 90 degree bend at each end. I don't like the path it has to take to connect the two cylinders. Plenty of people have made this change, what did you do?
