Popping from exhaust

Here’s where to discuss anything specific about your standard(ish) car or something that applies to the model in general.

If using Photobucket, with picture selected click on the "Direct" selection (copied will come on for an instant). Paste this in between the img's. There is no editing of text necessary.

The size of the picture on screen will depend on the number of pixels in the picture posted to Photobucket. Example. My signature picture below is between 50 to 75 pixels high (can't remember which).

Heres a pic, underneath the breaker plate is bits of broken plastic from the old elec ignition, ive got most of it out. I bought a Pertronix MR-LS2 and have just got to work out how to fit it. The old unit was a Newtronic and still has the black control box in place connected to the red wire from the dizzy, and a ballast resistor so Im assuming the old box will have to go and the wires from the module will connect direct to the coil/ballast resistor.

Okay, now you need to edit this post by deleting the verbiage around the photo. This will leave the photo correctly sized and placed.

Wondered where that freckled distributor went to. [:p]

Do not click on IMG window as Mildred suggests. Click on the DIRECT window then follow her directions. No editing is required.

A successful day at last, we removed the old module and fitted the new pertronix one. Stripped out the old newtronics control box and wired the module to the coil and ballast resistor and she started first turn. Seems much more responsive now, revving cleanly and the car pulls better than ever. The old kit must have been dying and providing a weak spark. Oil change done then a clean and polish and all sorted.

I wonder what it will throw at me next [?]
