Here’s where to discuss anything specific about your standard(ish) car or something that applies to the model in general.

TKC3390 - TR7 Ignition Wiring Harness - TKC 3390

Some of you will know of the theft of one of my collection a few months ago - part of the fallout of this robbery was the damage caused to several others in my collection and this included Monkey - a rare North American development car - this is a 1978 model. The parts i was looking for was a RH key entry ignition wiring loom (put key in with right hand) ... what made this a tad more tricky is the wiring loom which has a lot more wires (an 8 wire / 9 point plug as opposed to the standard 4 pin) - research has led me to this part number TKC3390 which was fitted to NA and Aus cars (USA from VIN ACW7002 & Australia Exports). Took me months to find this out and cheapest place to buy this was Leacy Classics (http://www.leacyclassics.com/) ... not many left in stock now.

it does have a few tricks as it was a BL development car (LHD but never crossed the Pond) .... i will be tracing all the wires once i finally get it back in one piece :)

I think you will find that the extra leads allow the US fitted seat belt warning buzzer to sound ....

Have you tried James Paddock? I ordered a standard wiring assembly from them and the part that arrived had extra wires per the NA spec.

Interestingly I have indeed just ordered one from Paddock - mainly to see how different it was !
Thanks for the alternative thought. I think they are also still listed in Lincolnshire - but at about £30 more for a unit.
