size of connecting rod and main nuts

Here’s where to discuss anything specific about your standard(ish) car or something that applies to the model in general.

size of connecting rod and main nuts

Postby motomadness1947 » 16 May 2015 00:03

I am stripping an old TR7 engine to rebuild with power enhancing elements. I am down to removing the old pistons and crank. The shop manual says remove the "special nuts" from the connecting rods. Problem is I am not sure what size or if they are a special socket. Same for the main caps. Would someone please let me know so I do not strip these bad boys. (oh that would make me cuss like a Liverpool factory man.

Thanks

Bruce
