What is the normal temp for engine?

Here’s where to discuss anything specific about your standard(ish) car or something that applies to the model in general.

I can confirm that when there is a constant airflow during driving, the V8 temperature gauge reads 1/2. When idling in our unusually hot weather, the fans kick in at 5/8ths. and hold it there on around a 50% duty cycle. Temperature of top hose goes between 88C and 92C when gauge at 5/8ths.:

You can adjust the temp gauge with your finger. Verify the temp with a lazer temp gun cost about $25.00 on ebay. The engine temp should be approx. 200'F if all is correct with engine, radiator and fan. At that point take off the instrument panel clear plastic cover and move the pointer gently until it reads in the middle at 200'. This is how a Jag mechanic tol me they adjust gauges to match temps.
