Front Brakes Dragging

Postby scarface031 » 01 Jun 2014 16:50

My front brakes are dragging on my TR7.

I replaced the lines and the hoses.

The vacuum booster does not work and I disconnected it and block the line.

I recently bought a caliper repair kit, and I will install next week.

What do you guys think could be the problem?

Could be rusted pistons. While this didn't happen to me on the Spider, it did on the '91 Integra rear disc brakes (those British cars are just too reliable).

I adjusted the push rod and the brake booster magically works now. The brakes drag less, but still have a little bit.

Both sides - or just one side? Probably best to overhaul the calipers - and fit stainless pistons....
