Just seeing who is still around.

Here’s where to discuss anything specific about your standard(ish) car or something that applies to the model in general.

Just seeing who is still around.

Postby KLUTZP » 27 Mar 2014 23:57

Well, I haven't popped in for a LONG time but I like to see who is still around from the "Old" days when I joined this forum when I purchased my first British car, my '78 TR7. This forum was amazing in helping me keep my sanity while rebuilding it and also when I reluctantly sold it. I then moved on and rebuilt 3 MGB's and I'm now doing a total body off restoration on a '79 Corvette. (This is a real challenge) I'm also waiting for this bloody snow and cold to end so I can get out my current toy from storage, my 08 Corvette. I still have a love and a wish to get another wedge at some point but they seem to be getting scarcer and scarcer around here every year.
Keep up the great work here folks, you have had a great run with this wonderful forum.

Paul

Pop in any time Paul, we'll still talk to you, even if you went over to the dark side there for a while there.

3 MG Bs no less, how could you, & what a glutton for punishment. I would have thought anyone who'd experienced a 7 would have enough Bs, after the first one.

That Corvette sounds interesting, how about some photos, if ever it & you become unfrozen.

Nice 'vettes Paul , the 08 is quite the car , my boss rides a suprcharged Z06. Many moons ago my Dad and I rebuilt a '75 with the flat backglass , It was a fun car !

Had you originally planned on doing a frame-off on the 79??
-or did the rot end up catching you by surprise.....the one that we rebopped ended up busting out the budget bigtime with some hidden problems!

As for the little FHC coupe , what ever he ends up selling it for , I'm sure he's swimming in that thing !!!!
(( it does look decent though ......))

Yep, nice.

Corvettes must have good proportions, as they look just right in photos. It is only when standing beside one that you realise just how big they are.
