exhaust manifold attachment

Postby Joseph byers » 17 Mar 2014 18:15

Threads in aluminum 2L cylinder head for attaching exhaust manifold have been stripped. Is there a jig that can be used for installation of helicoils or inserts with head in place or must the head be removed? 1980 TR7.

But you could always remove the lower engine mount and cant the engine over a little.
Careful you secure/support it properly and don't overstretch othe rtwo mounts/cables/hoses.
