Small subframe spacers.

Here’s where to discuss anything specific about your standard(ish) car or something that applies to the model in general.

Small subframe spacers.

Postby Dave Dyer » 01 Jan 2014 12:17

Firstly, Happy New year to you all.

My question is, does anyone know the length of the smaller tube like spacers that are used in the subframe mounting?

They are the straight tube spacers, not the ones with the lip on. There are 2 longer and 2 shorter.

I thought if I knew the sizes, I could cut them from a piece of tube.
Outer diameter and inner diameter would also be good to know?

Thanks,
Dave

When I changed to Polybushes a few years I bought these tube spacers from Robsport. Previously they weren't available for a long time.

They weren't that cheap since they were machined from solid.

Beans has a diagram of the front spacers and the way they fit.

Just an update,

I bought the spacers from S+S in the end, they were a good price, it just wasn't worth trying to make them.

The short ones are 19mm high and the longer ones 29mm high, just for future reference.
