TR7 Door Handles

Postby farrikt » 21 Oct 2013 18:26

I am looking to replace the door handles on my 1980 TR7, Rimmers do an alternative spec version and say they will fit but need the lever cams changing over. Has anyone else tried these ?

I think they may come from a Land Rover Discovery. Possibly someone else on the forum has tried them.

I used rear Land Rover Disco ones (without locks) and fitted Rover SD1 central locking thats connected to the alarm system. A friend did a similar thing but added red/green LEDs where the button came through the interior door card so it visibly shows if locked or not.

I like the idea of central locking and using the rear rover handles. Using the suggestions from this forum, I powder-coated mine black. It really shows well off of the bright yellow (or any colour I'd think).
