Green Tartan Material

Too many people duplicate work that others already have done ... if you're having something remade then tell us about it! Success and Disasters, they are all useful to know about!

Hi John, red material is already being remade - the House of Tartan is doing a reasonable copy of it - in a few months the TRDC members will have a more exact spec in both green and red tartan, next up will be the spider seats followed by other material ... the aim is to go for quality rather than speed which is why it takes so long and much trialling.

If the TRDC is doing this why wasn't i informed. I have been communicating about this for quite some time and I think it was a big mistake not informing us of their plans

That's the idea of the new section in the Marketplace to try and keep people informed of what people are doing and both their success and failure of re-manufacturing parts - i was the one who mentioned it to you on facebook but hopefully on the forum it will be clearer.

Note this is not being done by the TRDC but being offered first to TRDC members - it is in fact being funded by myself in collaboration with S+S Preparations.

Also it is better that two people have done it rather than none :)

But don't you think it is redundant
I know you mentioned it on FB, so we'll have 2 companies carrying a material that there is a limited need for
I feel sorry for the company I am dealing with and if they weren't so far along I'd pull it.
But I feel it, the sample, will be ready for OK'ing in a couple of days

aye - my guess is that this happened many times in the past - but you are likely to be producing it first - and i'm glad someone else producing it wasn't a shock!

Anything I produce will be checked many many times before offering for sale, so will take longer to become available.

House of Tartan did a reasonable job with the red tartan, so I am sure the green will be ok.

Now that red and green tartan are well on the way to being produced, is their any likelihood of the blue tartan
being available in the future.

So out of all the people on this website who happened to look at it the last 2 days ...
NOBODY... has a green tartan car?
They must be rarer than I thought

Not NOBODY... I've sent you pictures of my green tartan a while ago. Don't know what you need.
Cheers,

Peter, Did you send me measurements?
This is what I asked...

"K, Bill Munts got back and sent me this.
This is the only one that is different
Can anyone confirm this?
I'm pretty sure Bill's is correct as it's in good condition.
This is measuring up the back I think

The reason why, is that that measurement is different to this

Have a green tartan tr7 with a brand new seat if you need meaurements.

For the Blue tartan, seat covers available new from: http://www.aldridge.co.uk/ door cards shouldn't be too difficult.

(would be interested in buying some green tartan fabric!)
