Can someone please confirm that these https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/264065510892?ul_noapp=true are a straight fit. New nuts required I know. Was looking at Miniltes but costs difficult to justify. Oh and what centre caps can be used?

They should fit OK, sometimes the centre bore needs to be relieved a little. You can often get sets from people breaking MGF's much cheaper than that.

Not sure what centre cap fits (other than MG) but I think many keep the MG caps with Triumph/TR7 etc stickers over as available on ebay, something like https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TRIUMPH-Garl ... xybLpRhhcF (not sure 50mm is right for the MG caps, needs to be checked).

MGF / Rover caps fit with a caveats.

Rear caps just clip straight in, but front caps need to be modified. Cut off the lugs and fix in place with a couple of dabs of contact adhesive. I have the Rover caps on mine and when sprayed silver the logo vanishes completely. The only issue is that the tyre fitters knock them out when they balance the wheel.

Hi Cam,
I have MGF 15” wheels on my car. They fitted straight on with no issues. I cosmetically modified the MGF centre caps using body filler and sprayed them silver to match with stick on Triumph badges.
Rich.

more questions - what are people using for tyres? I see 195/50 15s seem to be popular. Any experinces on tyre types etc. What to avoid and what works?

I have Symons 15 x 7 wheels, an Oz high quality 2 piece wheel, stud centric as the MG wheel, & an MG spare on the 8.

I have Michelin 195 60 15 on the front, & 215 50 15 on the back. This is about as wide as you can go with out "tubbing" the rear end.

By comparison I have 185 70 13 & 205 70 13 on the stock 7 with 6" wheels.
