Hello
the diodes of my headlight engines aren't working
above it is written: LUC 35 8805 76
do you know how to replace these diodes? (références)

good solved

the problem is rare, but those who would like to help themselves, here is a little tutorial.
the diodes found in the headlight motors are used to distribute the current for lifting and lowering.
1 operation of a diode:

2 connections

 3 diode replacement

the diodes of origin lucas 35 8805 76 are 40 years old and are now very difficult to find,  the alternative is diode 1N 4007 1A 1000V which is very easy today

 4 renovated engine

cost of operation 20cents x4 for diodes and about two hours for insta llation and welding.

Thx for sharing !
So far never had any problems with the lifting mechanism.
But good to bear in mind

Olivier,

I love the idea of welding a diode into the circuit. Face mask down, welding torch at the ready - a quick flash and the mechanism vanishes in a puff of smoke...

Tu parle l'anglais tres bien, mais l'idea c'est trese amusant pour un rosbif :)
