S&S Preperations

Postby Rblackadar » 12 Jun 2009 17:41

Hey guys! I was just wondering with those who have ordered from S&S if they have a secure website to order parts from? I got a great quote on some parts from Rick there and I'd like to give them my business (when I can afford to have it shipped the the States) but I can't find where to order from. I'm just kinda leary giving my cc# over the phone or email where it can't be documented by a secure system.

I sent my credit card info in chunks from three different email accounts.

Over the phone is much more secure than say paying your restaurant bill where low paid service workers can, double swipe the card drop a copy in the garbage basket where it can be reteived by anyone for nefarious use.

If I was you I would email part and then phone the other half through to be sure. Or you could always encrypt the email that you are sending to S&S.
I was up there Tuesday and agree that their service is second to none, great service.

Rblackadar I am interested in buying soemthings form them.
DO you think we can share shipping cost????[:D]

I Agree with Clay send the info buy calling twice or a call and an e-mail would be secure.

Are you guys over there paranoid or up to something dodgy and having your phone lines tapped? Two phone calls with half the number? I have to admit that if I order from S&S I give the whole number on the phone as it is generally the person on the other end you have to trust. If you give then the number in two bites they still have the number! It is a pity they do not have a secure https set up on the website for payment like Robsport, or even accept Paypal which would make life easier, especially ordering in the evenings like I tend to. Any chance Steve?

do they accept paypal?

open a foreign currency account in your bank , and deposit the amount of money you want to buy parts for , that way youre safe since you cant withdraw more than there is on the account.
