long time no chat

Postby nervousnewowner » 07 Jun 2009 17:55

hey folks, long time no chat....

my pc died a while back and had no time to get it fixed, but wife just gone out so pinching her laptop to do quick update.

my little dhc now has mot[:D], and since friday insurance[:D], and hopefully next week tax[:)].... then i can start a true rolling restoration, need to stop the fuel guage permanently reading full though before going too far,.....[:D]

it has also sadly had some unwanted attention, woken by police at `1am to be told they had just picked up a 15 and 16 yr old trying to steal the car[:(!]not a happy bunny, but sadly due to the police not giving me their names have had to let the courts deal with them so no doubt they will be given councelling and driving lessons.....

Hi Dave, good to hear from you again mate, glad you are back online, did you manage to source those bits you were after?, and has the police caught the toerags that nearly got off with your 7? like me if they had done that to my car or property, they would get more than some driving lessons!!

Good to hear that the car is on the road Dave - well nearly[:D]

Bad news about the scumbag would be car thieves - I think John has the right idea. It always worries me that the little ba***rds will come back for another go. Be prepared[;)]

No problem if the car has been off the road for a long time - but from now on, the car will need to be either taxed, or sorned. I would have attended Court too - to get their names - and to see what happens. If there was any damage - sue them! Although the Criminal Court could have made an order for damages to be paid as part of the sentence.
