Grinnal 2+2 in Triumph World

Postby moestr7v8 » 22 Apr 2009 18:31

I received my copy of Triumph World this morning and after looking through the various articles decided to have a look at what was for sale in the wedge section and there was a Grinnal converted 2+2 automatic for sale at £950 ono so,as it was in Bristol and
pretty nearby, staight on the phone to enquire and was told sorry sold three weeks ago for £850 when I said how much he said was that a good price then!!!!!!!!!!![;)]
Was it anybody on this forum?
The buyer came from Whitby to get it, so if you are a member let us know what it is like as it is a pretty rare beast.
Regards
Moe

Hi Moe,
How far did you spit your coffee when you read the advert?

I was talking about this car with the Grinnall boys the other weekend.

From what I understand it needed a fair bit of work, but hopefully the new owner wil turn up on here to share their stories!

Hi Wayne when I spoke to the seller he said he had not used the car for a few years, when I said that i was even more interested because it was an auto he said he had an MGB auto for sale was I interested in it but I politley declined ha ha.[8D]
I take it you knew of this car or had you seen it advertised elsewhere?
It would be good if the new owner did come onto this forum but on the other hand he may well join the Grinnal club.
Regards Moe
