dash bulb voltage

I have my dash apart and I thought it would be a good time to clean everything and test all the bulbs. I want to use a separate battery to test the bulbs - are they 12v bulbs or do Triumphs step down the voltage to the dash to something lower?

They are 12V bulbs - as are the LED replacements I peddled...[8D]

Thanks. Between when I posted that question and now, I used an Ohm meter to check most of them.
BTW, even with the low mileage my car has, I found that most of the bulbs had a fairly thick haze or dust covering on them - just cleaning them should brighten things up a bit! [8D]

Cleaning all the contacts in the circuit brightens them even more.

All my TR7 dash bulbs had a silver-ish haze on the inside of the
glass bulb. I think it is the filament burning off contaminants
within the bulb and maybe the tungsten filament itself burning
off.
I replaced all my Tr7 bulbs with halogen dash and instrument cluster
bulbs.
Go to a scrap yard and get any 1999 through 2004 Ford instrument
cluster and take their bulbs. The plastic bases are unique for
Ford and Triumph, but the glass bulbs will plug into the standardize
sockets that are on the TR7/TR8.
2001 Nisson Quest, Lincoln LS, Jagaur S type are others. I know this
little detail because I used to design clusters for Ford/Visteon.
Those were but a few of my electronic designs.
XL3F-13B765-BB I believe is the Ford part number for the 100mA bulb.
the Ford Service part number might be similar.

Odd, Thank you for developing the 9 LED bulbs. As I am working on getting my car ready for the VTR Regionals in Marble Falls, I haven't driven it at night, yet.
