Hi All
Now that the rally car is on the mend,[:D] it is time to fit the front flares. The style the same as the works cars used. They dont seem to be a particularly good fit. does anyone have any info as to were they trimed the front and rear wheel arches on the works cars?
There is one photo in the metal guru thread, but its not overly detailed.
Cheers Troy

The problem is that there are a few suppliers that make them from different molds. The original molds from BL are probably long gone! I have all the rally flares for my TR8 and your right I have 2 sets of front. One set will fit perfectly and they were from Robsport in the UK and the second set from the US Victoria British. The US set have so much extra on them that by the time I get done fitting them it might not be worth the effort compared to the UK set. The rears are not fun either. I have 4 types and all of them need some fine tuning. I have some gaps here and there but there is not much I can do without ussing filler and lots of sanding to get them perfect. Fitting the fronts is a trick. The pairs never have the same ends. One maybe pointed and the other end wide and chopped off on the ends. I have lots of pictures of some trial fits on my car which has never been wrecked in the rear and the front right wing has a small wrinkle in it but they should be fine.

The other issue is that there are no two bodies the same or one that is pefect with TR7s & 8s! Even new the panels were shady! Good luck!
